The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series embark on their first road course of the season, and Zane Smith will lead the way at the Daytona International Speedway road course.

GMS Racing’s Smith nabbed the pole after winning last week’s race at Michigan International Speedway.

The lineup was made from a formula in which owners points was weighted 35%, finishing position from last race 50% and fastest lap 15%. Previously, a random draw set the lineup.

Fellow rookie Christian Eckes starts second next to Smith, while veteran Brett Moffitt begins third. Austin Hill and Tyler Ankrum round out the top five.

Todd Gilliland qualified sixth, Tanner Gray is seventh and Ben Rhodes is in eighth. Derek Kraus and Raphael Lessard complete the top 10 starters.

Truck Starting Lineup at Daytona Road Course: Sunoco 159

The Sunoco 159 is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 16 at 12 p.m. ET and will air on Fox Sports 1.
