Ryan Newman Adds Kohler Sponsorship

Ryan Newman has added Kohler Generators sponsorship for 2021, Roush Fenway Racing announced Jan. 12.

Kohler will sponsor the No. 6 in eight races in the NASCAR Cup Series, including the season-opening Daytona 500.

After Daytona International Speedway, Kohler will adorn the No. 6 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Road America, Bristol Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway and Martinsville Speedway.

“We are looking forward to getting back to Daytona this year, and bringing on Kohler Generators as the primary partner for our biggest race of the season is really exciting,” Newman said in a team release. “Kohler is one of the most trusted brands in the world and is a natural fit with Roush Fenway and the No. 6 team. We came very close to winning this race last season, so hopefully this year we can go to Daytona, finish the job and put that Kohler Generators Ford in victory lane at what is undoubtedly one of the grandest events in all of motorsports.”

In 33 starts in 2020 after being sidelined due to his injury in the Daytona 500, Newman scored two top 10s and finished 25th in points.

Amazing how this guy can pick up 8 MM in sponsorship for accomplishing nothing on-track?

Nice to see one of America’s workhorse products teaming up with one of a few tough drivers left.
