Josh Berry Adds Tire Pros Sponsorship for 2022

One day after announcing that longtime driving prospect Josh Berry will pilot the No. 8 Chevrolet full time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2022, JR Motorsports announced Aug. 17 that the 30-year-old will also see part-time sponsor Tire Pros return for nine races next year.

“Tire Pros has been great, they’ve been big supporters of mine, and everything just clicked,” Berry said in a team release. “They were a huge part of me getting the 12-race opportunity this year. It all fit together. They’re a fantastic company that I’m proud to represent, so I am really thankful for them stepping up and making this happen.”

During his 2021 Xfinity Series campaign, Berry has so far made 16 starts, with nine of them ending in a top-10 results, plus a win at Martinsville Speedway. In four of those starts, Berry flew the Tire Pros colors.

The No. 8 is currently listed 17th in Xfinity owner standings going into this weekend’s event at Michigan International Speedway. Sam Mayer is driving the car for the bulk of the remainder of the season and will join Berry full time at the team in 2022.

Berry, meanwhile, is entered in this weekend’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, where he’ll drive Rackley WAR’s No. 25.
