William Byron’s No. 24 Chevrolet of Hendrick Motorsports will continue to have Liberty University on the hood for several NASCAR Cup Series races, as the school renewed its sponsorship for five more years, the team announced Oct. 15.
The agreement is for 12 races each year through 2026.
Liberty first sponsored Byron in 2018 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It was on board when the 23-year-old won his first Cup race at Daytona International Speedway last year.
“I’m proud to represent an institution like Liberty University,” Byron said in a release. “I had the opportunity to go back to campus last weekend and see how much the school continues to grow. They inspire a lot of people my age to pursue their passions, and I look forward to continuing to represent them on and off the racetrack.”
Byron has one win, 10 top fives and 17 top 10s so far this year. He’s ranked 13th in the point standings after being eliminated from the playoffs last week at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.
In his Cup career he has two victories, 19 top fives and 48 top-10 finishes.
