It’s the most original commentary you’ll ever find: the truth, coming straight out of the mouths of the drivers, crew members, and car owners themselves. Did you know that three weeks ago, there were no rookies? Well, not really. Andy Lally and Brian Keselowski had not declared their intention to run for the Rookie of the Year honors, and the third possibility in the form of current Daytona 500 champion Trevor Bayne seemed more intent on his Nationwide run in …
Trevor Bayne got a great jump on the final restart and Bobby Labonte offered a vital assist, pushing the No. 21 car before Bayne blocked Carl Edwards coming to the stripe and pulled the upset.
When he caused the first wreck, a one-car deal with only Kyle Busch suffering the consequences, Michael Waltrip actually might have been loved for spinning out NASCAR’s bad boy. But for his encore, Waltrip ran over his own driver, David Reutimann, and the aftermath involved several teams who, unlike Waltrip’s, are actual championship contenders and will now be behind for weeks as a result. Perhaps staying retired would have been a wise chose for the former two-time Daytona 500 winner; the race could have been a feel-good story for Waltrip, who won this race 10 years ago, but he left half the field not feeling too good at all.
Greetings race fans, can you believe we are less than two weeks away from the Daytona 500? The month of February is without a doubt the best part of the season; drivers, fans, and the media are refreshed after a nice three month break and all the teams get another opportunity to win the sports …
The Nationwide Series, on the other hand, was officially decided last week at Texas, with Brad Keselowski taking this year’s title.

With Brad Keselowski set to end the Nationwide Series season two races early, it only seems fitting that this week be the one that Frontstretch recaps the top-10 moments that Nationwide Series regulars (and semi-regulars) have enjoyed this season (with Morgan Shepherd’s dump move on Danica Patrick at Loudon just narrowly missing the cut). 10. …
Brad Keselowski won the spring race at Richmond on a last-lap pass, having to outrace Greg Biffle after dominating the event. This time, Keselowski came within an inch of making another last-lap pass for the win, though he wasn’t the dominant driver this time around. That honor went to Virginia 529 College Savings 250 winner Kevin Harvick, who led 170 circuits en route to scoring his third win of the year.
